Seven people killed in earthquake in Croatia
December 30th. RIGHT WORLD. In Croatia, an earthquake killed seven people, including a 12-year-old girl, RIA Novosti reported . About 20 people turned to doctors for help, two of them are in serious condition.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 on the Richter scale occurred the day before. The epicenter was located in the area of the city of Petrin in the central part of the country. The tremors were felt throughout Croatia and in neighboring countries.
The mayor of Petrinja Darinko Dumbovich said that the destruction in the city is extremely serious. Now rescuers are dismantling the rubble of buildings. The city of Sisak, close to the epicenter, also suffered significant damage. The hospital suffered the most and continued to admit patients. In the city of Glina , about 90% were left homeless.
